REBALANCING (Sell on rebalance day and Buy next day)

When I rebalanced MIP, few stocks are replaced by new entrants. When I executed rebalance, the buy portion couldn't go through on the same day as funds from sell portion can be utlized on next trading day.
Is it ok if we execute buy trades on next day?
How this may impact overall performace?
