Seasonality Matrix Calculation

Dear Team Definedge,

I was going through the Seasonality tool in RZone. Below is the outcome for RIL as an example.

1. The annual returns total sum provided by tool have errors. Will you please address this bug in the tool?

2. Also, I would like to understand how calculations for Standard Deviations are done in this tool.

Hi, the last column is not the SUM. It shows yearly return. Return of the stock on 31st December of each year compared to previous year. There is no bug. Standard deviation is calculated on monthly returns.

Sir, there is no issue in the tool. The monthly returns are calculated on month-end closing values, while the yearly returns are based on the year-end value as on 31 December.

Please check the attached screenshots for clarity on both the Monthly and Yearly charts.
