Is Static IP requirement only for Order APIs

I use definedge APIs to access historical price information, but not for placing orders. do I still need a static IP, even to access this? Or static IP verification is only for the Order management APIs?

It seems static IP has been made mandatory even for downloading historical data. Why is that ? SEBI guidelines does not require static IP for historical data. Was checking other brokers, they dont seem to have made static IP mandatory for historical data. Request definedge team to change the process and not make static IP mandatory even for historical data
