Hi Definedge Team & Prashant,
I have been reading "Outperforming the Markets using RS and Breadth Analysis" by Prashant. It is an amazing book with great concepts which have been explained very well by Prashant. One concept that has really struck a chord with me is usage of DT% Breadth as a lead indicator for deciding when to enter, scale, trail aggressively and then finally exit the markets. I have gone thru the last 10 years of data for DT% and have been able to define a system which does what has been mentioned above. My concern in the live run has been that the DT% data has some discrepancies. The DT% data for a given date seems to vary. I have raised this to support but I have not heard back with a resolution timeline from them.
Below is the snippet of the issue. Example - Breadth for 20th Dec has 3 different values when checked on 3 different dates. I would like to understand if there is an issue with my understanding or is it a genuine data issue?
Date Checked on 20th Dec Checked on 21st Dec Checked on 25th Dec
12/22/2023 21.95%
12/21/2023 18.16% 20.55%
12/20/2023 17.36% 17.56 18.36%
12/19/2023 49% 32.5 33.33%
12/18/2023 47.90% 32.33 32.90%Regards,
Anand
