  • Regarding Calculation of Log Box Value in P& F chart
  • B Bidhan Saha

    Prashant Sir Ji, Namaskar,
I have another confusion reagring Box Value in P & F chart
    (i) Suppose the Closing price of an instrument is 800 and i plot 1% x 3 Box Value size on Daily Time Frame i..e Price revered the X and O coloumn if Price +- 3% i.e. 3% of 800 = 24 and if price fall 770 then Reversed 3 Box in O coloumn i.e ( 1% of 800) 8 x 3 = 24 . But Sir My question is that now LTP is 770 and if the price fall futher the continuation Box size is 8 as calculated previously or 7.7 ( 1% of 770) which one.
(ii) Or the Log Box Value if Caculated on the EOD closing price of an instrument and any changes in the LTP through out the day is not effects the box Value.

Sir Please Clerify the matter ,

Prasant Sir Ji Namaskar , (i) can you clarify that whether the Log Box Value is calculated on LTP or the Closing Price at the time of Reversal of coloumn ?
(ii) after the reversal i.e either side X or O coloumn, the continuation boxes were the same size i.e the box size calculated at the time of reversal until the next reverssal of coloumn.
Sir, Plesase clerify I am confused.

Prasant Sir, Namaskar, Sir Log Value of Box size i.e 0.25%, 1%, and 3% is calculated on which price either LTP or ATP of the instrument , if so then Box value is changed every moment the stock price changes , so ploting ox X and O are also chaged with chages of CMP , am I correct if not kindly clerify the matter of How log value calculated to find box value, i am cofused.
