Hi @Definedge @@Definedge-Experts @Prashant-Shah
You guys have built an amazing product. User interface is too good and the available documentation is really enough for any new user to kick start his/her trading journey. However, need some more clarity on how auto trade engine works for positional trades. I'm seeking experts help to solve my problem.
I would like to breakdown the problem statement in points. Let's say:
-
I created a strategy ID by selecting Options ATM scanner for NIFTY FUTURE underlying. Selected Product Type as 'Positional' and I want to enter long position with 1 lot of option contract. Max loss/Max profit is limited to 5k. Auto exit when Target/SL hits.
-
I open Options ATM Scanner and my entry condition is to enter the option when there's a Turtle Breakout - Bullish at 1% box size in P&F chart type. SL & Targets are 30% respectively. Exit condition is Turtle Break Out - Bearish.
-
For example, NIFTY 24000 PE gets executed after satisfying the entry condition. But, none of the exit conditions will meet on the same day (No SL/Target/Turtle Break out - Bearish) and the contract gets carry forward since I want it to be a positional trade as per my Auto Trader strategy setup.
If any of my exit conditions satisfy on the following day, how the auto trader engine exits the trade?
I have to restart the application everyday and there's no option to save the Options ATM Scanner (all my exit conditions are mentioned in the scanner)
So, on what basis the Auto Trader engine exits the trade on the following day without the Options ATM scanner?
