This is not true, you are deducting brokerage from the dmat. You are taking brokerage from profit as well as wallet balance.
On 17th October I had a profit of 1100.25, for one lot of BankNifty.
Buy Price - 237
Sell Price - 310.35
(310.35-237) x 15 = 1100.25
Charges:
Brokerage - 36
Security Transaction Charge - 3
Exchange Transaction Charge - 4.15
Sebi TurnOver Fees - 0.01
SGST - 3.61
CGST - 3.61
Total Charges = 36+3+4.15+0.01+3.61+3.61=50.38
Amount Credited to Account = Profit - Total Charges = 1100.25-50.38=1049.87
So does that mean you are taking brokerage from profit and wallet as well?
