Vayo Pearls began with a shopping trip. While looking for pearls, first in Australia and then in Dubai, our founder kept running into the same problem: beautiful pearls, but prices that made no sense. The markups were enormous.

The turning point came in a small café in the Philippines. Sitting with pearl suppliers and learning how the trade really works, our founder saw the gap between what pearls cost and what customers pay. That’s when the idea became a plan.

In 2018, Vayo Pearls launched in Australia with a simple mission: bring genuine, quality pearls to people at prices that aren’t inflated by unnecessary middlemen. That café conversation became a Sydney-based business that now ships pearl jewellery around the world.
