(RZone) Moving average bug for candlestick charts?
  • S Steve Davis

    Issue resolved..thanks for the help

  • (RZone) Moving average bug for candlestick charts?
  • S Steve Davis

I am trying to create a default template for candlestick charts displaying the exponential moving average but instead of closing price, I want it to display the high and low channel. But whenever I try to add the indicator, it automatically reverts to SVWAP. I thought I was selecting the wrong indicator. The error is coming only when I try to change the MA type to EMA..if I keep it as simple MA, it does display correctly. And this is the case only for candlestick charts...tried the same for both renko and p&f and there is no issue. Any suggestions for a work around?

  • BPCL chart mismatch in RZone and TradePoint Desktop

@Brijesh Bhatia Thank you Brijesh sir..yes that was the issue..maybe I scrolled my mouse wheel over that by mistake. Can someone also help me out on how to delete the vertical counts?

  • BPCL chart mismatch in RZone and TradePoint Desktop
  • S Steve Davis

So rzone is showing that in bpcl 0.25% daily chart, it has a bullish abc pattern anchor column breakout. However when I tried opening it in TP desktop, the chart is completely different. Compared the details to see whether there is any mismatch but it doesnt seem to be. Why is there such a difference in the two charts or am I missing something?

  • What am I doing wrong (Straddle Scanner)
  • S Steve Davis

Thanks for the reply Nehaji...there is no such option when running the Single Scrip Straddle Scanner.

Can you also please help me out regarding the other problem. Why am I unable to run the Straddle Scanner (not Single Scrip Straddle Scanner) for ATM strike price of Nifty/Bank Nifty options and am being asked to "select group with Futures symbols only"?

  • What am I doing wrong (Straddle Scanner)
  • S Steve Davis

First here is what I am looking for...an alert when the atm straddle of nifty monthly option turns bearish on a 1min 1% renko chart. Tried to do it in the straddle scanner like this:

    1.jpg

But after being asked to enter exit condition(why though?), I am being told I can select only the group with futures symbol

    2.jpg

I was able to do something like this in the Single Scrip Straddle Scanner but there it is saying "Execute Buy Order". Is it just wording or does the software really executes the trade? I just want an alert...will look in the chart myself and take the trade on my own.

Also is there any videos/guide on how to use these scanners?

  • Real time scanners for straddles/strangles
  • S Steve Davis

So in Prashant sir's latest Q&A video, he said that in tradepoint desktop there are real time scanners available for straddles/strangles. However when I checked it, I have only scanners for OHLC, P&F, P&F RS, Line Break, Renko, Kagi etc..is my version not updated or is it only available for a different subscription model?

  • Alerts for Straddle Charts
  • S Steve Davis

As far as I know, it is not possible for us to set price alerts for straddle charts. Any plans in the future to introduce this feature? I have been trading straddle charts since the start of this month and have to say, an excellent option available for free. Beginners and retail traders though can execute trades with more of a peace of mind if we can set alerts for sl in case of rapid spikes against our direction
