Short Straddle Selling – Patience Beats the Noise :(A Case Study from a Live Chart)
@SANTANU-BEZ you have mentioned these 2 things:
VWAP Served as dynamic SL. Price staying below confirmed no reversal.
Exiting at first spike Wait for SL/invalidation to hit before acting
But in reality, price crossed above the VWAP in both the situations. Isn't this contradictory?

@Definedge @@Definedge-Experts kindly resolve this issue for regular trading. You are offering margin for momentum investing from momentify portal, then, why not make it available for regular trading? Why these 2 different approaches?

Short Straddle Selling – Patience Beats the Noise :(A Case Study from a Live Chart)
@SANTANU-BEZ ok, so in strong up/down trend i.e. financials, reliance, IT - all up/down together - using vwap, otherwise supertrend as trailing SL. Is my understanding correct?
Prashant Ji, in trading, profit targets and locking is of utmost importance.
Can you please add the following in momentum trading:
Intermediate target setting:
Intermediate target: x%, stock to sell: a%
Final target: y%, stock to sell: <whatever percentage of stock quantity is remaining>
Profit locking Percentage:
SL above buy price: x%
Trigger above buy price: y%, where y > x
Eg., if I set x=10%, y=15%, if my stock moves by 15% or more, my SL will be set at 10%
i.e, I will get atleast 10% profit while continue riding the momentum for more expected profit.
@Ravi-Shinde, so here comes the role of XIRR instead of absolute returns for pyramids.
Hello @Prashant-Shah ji, in system builder based renko trading, it is very difficult to formulate whether current brick i.e. brick 0, is completely formed or not on a timeframe of lets say 1 min. This creates a lot of confusion as sometimes the brick 0 is formed a long ago and the next brick is not getting formed due to not much change in the price strike. Kindly suggest how to achieve this?
Hello Prashant Ji,
Difference between iNAV and trading price is very crucial to filter out high premium ETFs. Can you please introduce this difference in a column if we are running the ETF basket scan in momentify as well as in rzone (for scan and backtesting both). Also, introduce an option to filter out high premium stocks (in percentage).
Thanks.
@Ravi-Shinde, as taken from Google, XIRR stands for Extended Internal Rate of Return is a method used to calculate returns on investments where there are multiple transactions happening at different times.
